APPLICABLE SUBJECT<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">This program shall be used in training and issuance of certificate of English teaching training completion for foreigners at centers for foreign language and computer training in Vietnam, including: native English speakers having college degree or higher; foreigners having college degree or higher in English major; foreigners having college degree or higher and having certificate of level 5 foreign language proficiency in accordance with the Foreign Language Proficiency for Vietnam or equivalent (hereinafter referred to as \u201clearners\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>II. OBJECTIVES<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>1. General objectives<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Assist learners in developing English teaching skills in a manner that is effective, flexible, and appropriate to culture and background of Vietnam; satisfy demand for training and certificate of training completion for learners; improve English teaching quality at centers for foreign language and computer training (hereinafter referred to as \u201cforeign language centers\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>2. Specific objectives<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon completion of training programs, a learner must be able to satisfy requirements below regarding English teaching capacity at foreign language centers:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Utilize primary knowledge, methods, and approach in teaching of the English language; analyze, evaluate, and adjust contents, methods accordingly depending on learners, culture, and background of teaching and learning of the English language in Vietnam;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Utilize skills to assist teaching and learning in a flexible and effective manner; analyze, evaluate, and effectively adjust class management and organization skills in order to assist studying; develop skills for constructing lesson plans and evaluating; utilize appropriate English teaching technology, materials, and methods depending on learners in order to improve capacity and traits of learners at foreign language centers;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Have positive, responsible, cooperative, professional, flexibly adaptable working attitude; respect Vietnamese traditions and customs; comply with Vietnamese regulations and law.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>III. Subject 2: English teaching reasoning and methods<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Become acknowledged of English language acquisition theory, English teaching methods associated with learner demographic and Vietnamese culture, society background;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Apply English language acquisition theory and English teaching guidelines in the teaching process appropriate to learners and the Vietnamese cultural and social context.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.3. Subject 3: Methods for teaching English knowledge<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify principles, models, and common flaws of Vietnamese people upon learning English language;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Utilize theory regarding orientations, methods, and skills for effectively teaching contents within the boundary of the English language such as vocabulary, grammar, phonetics appropriate to learners.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.4. Subject 4: Methods for teaching English skills<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify common difficulties faced by Vietnamese people when learning 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Effectively and appropriately utilize solutions, micro-skills, types of questions for 4 skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing in English;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop steps and progress of an integrated skill lesson and progress for teaching listening, speaking, reading, and writing effectively, appropriately for learner demographic.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.5. Subject 5: Lesson plan<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Design lesson plans according to the development of learner capacity at the foreign language center;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop a positive attitude in teaching.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.6. Subject 6: Class management<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Describe elements necessary in class management;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Apply class management principles, use the appropriate language in class to create a positive and effective teaching, studying environment;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop positive attitude in teaching and class management.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.7. Subject 7: Application of information technology and utilization, development of teaching materials<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify conditions and principles for applying information technology in utilizing and developing English teaching materials; describe learning materials for in-class and online learning; trends of technology application in English teaching in the current scene and in the future;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop electronic lectures, develop learning materials effectively; apply techniques and technology in lectures to make learners interested;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop self-studying capability, self-research capability, and creativity in application of technology in designing, lecturing, utilizing and developing learning materials.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.8. Subject 8: Examination and assessment methods<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Describe principles in examination and assessment; identify difficulty in designing tasks;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop diversified assessment methods in order to evaluate learners on a regular and periodic basis; develop equality in assessment; report on learning progress and results of learners.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.9. Subject 9: Methods for teaching English for Vietnamese children<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Understand cognitive and physiological psychology of Vietnamese children when learning English;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select and utilize teaching solutions, techniques, materials plans, class management operations appropriate to English teaching for Vietnamese children.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b><i>3.1.10. Subject 10: Methods for teaching English for Vietnamese youths &#8211; teenagers<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing this subject, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Acknowledge cognitive and physiological psychology of Vietnamese youths &#8211; teenagers when learning English;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Select and utilize teaching solutions, techniques, materials plans, class management operations appropriate to English teaching for Vietnamese youths &#8211; teenagers.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b>3.2. Part II &#8211; Internship<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Upon finishing the internship, a learner can:<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Develop lesson plans, apply knowledge, teaching methods and skills in teaching at foreign language centers;<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Adjust English teaching plans, methods, skills appropriate to learner demographics.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>IV. PROGRAM INSTRUCTION<\/b><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><b>1. Assessment, ranking, and certification<\/b><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><b>1.1. Assessment and ranking<\/b><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">At the end of a Training program, learners shall be assessed in form of exams (oral\/writing or appropriate methods) and learning results so as to determine acquisition of knowledge and skills in the Program. Scores shall be in a scale of 10.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learners shall be assessed after finishing Training program when: they have participated at least 80% of in-class learning duration; completed learning, examination, assessment tasks, satisfied requirements of subjects and Training program.<\/span><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Learners achieving a minimum score of 5 shall be qualified and certified for training program completion.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><b>1.2.
