The reason you can use this type of game for so many purposes is because it is created in a form of quiz. This allows you to customize the content of each question, which means you are not limited to any types of skills in English you are trying to prepare a lesson for.

How to play Mystery box game

• Your students can be divided into at least 2 teams, and they will in turn choose a letter in the alphabet, and answer the question corresponding to that letter.
• And when they finish answering, this is where the fun begins. Each team will receive a secret box, which may contain a GOOD point or a BAD point, either -200, -1000 or +5000, +2000... However the players will never know, and must decide whether to keep the points in the box, or to give the box to another team in the game.
• Therefore, if one team chooses to give the box to another team, and it turns out that inside the box is a huge score, it will give the team an instant regret, and the atmosphere of the game will as well become more exciting and competitive.

Notes when playing Mystery box game

• Make sure each person on a team has a voice when making a decision/answering any question. There will always be one person who is more enthusiastic than the other, so make sure everyone speaks in the same amount of time.
• This game has the same number of questions as the number of letters in the alphabet, so it requires you to prepare well at home in advance. Do not prepare the question that are too difficult, it should be a short and concise question that requires quick reflexes. This helps us avoid making other teams/ players wait too long for their turn to play.
• Once a certain team has selected a letter, it will be removed from the slide. This saves time for both you and the teams who are in the game.
• Everytime the point is revealed, press the home-looking button to go back to the alphabet.
