I am an English and New Media graduate from the University of Limerick in Ireland. I graduated with a second class honours and received a Presidents Volunteers Awards for my volunteering throughout the year which added up to 60 hours.
I have six months experience with a primary school in Ireland. This was my work placement for my degree and my work involved supervising classes and helping disabled pupils with their studies. I worked with ages 5 up to 12. I worked with dyslexic children and helping younger children with their English. Through this experience I got to observe experienced teachers and was able to learn from them.
I have also worked in more relaxed setting with children from ages 10 and 11. I taught for an English summer camp in Italy for a summer. The worked involved incorporating English into fun and engaging lessons.
I have worked with my University on several occasions including the Access programme which helps mentor incoming students in their first year of university. I am outgoing and have a warm personality. In 2015 my radio show won Listeners Choice for the University of Limerick. Through my work with the radio and the Internationals society I went on to be awarded a Presidents Volunteer Award from the President of the University in my final year.
