I have been teaching since 2007.
I started teaching English at High School Monument in Krugersdorp, South Africa in 2007. I held this position for a year.
In 2008, I moved to the United Kingdom, where I worked as a supply teacher for 2 years. Supply teaching is heavily demanding as you are constantly in new teaching environment, constructing lessons on the spot. During this time, I became intimately familiar with the UK's GCSE system relating particularly to English Language.
In 2010, I moved to Thailand where I worked at language school. During this time, I prepared students to take their IELTS. I also taught several Business English classes.
In 2011, I moved to South Africa where I took up a full-time position at a public high school teaching English and History.
In 2013, I moved to Chartwell Country College, a Cambridge school where I taught IGCSE, AS A Level English, History and Divinity.
I have taught English in several countries to a variety of students, ranging from children to adults.
I have been teaching since 2007. Initially, I was enrolled for a Bachelors of Education degree when I was offered a full time position in my third year. I accepted the offer and stopped my studies.
In 2013 I started to study towards a BA in Languages and Literature, a degree that I completed in 2016. I completed a CELTA in August, 2016 and I plan to register for a PGCE in 2017.
I am constantly trying to improve my reaching skills through extensive reading and implementation of diverse methodologies. At the centre of my methodology however, is the student. Students all have particular needs and the good teacher is able to adapt herself to find a means to access the student in the most beneficial way.
