English Teacher

EIU Language Center, a subsidiary of Becamex IDC, is looking for professional, committed and qualified EFL teachers to teach throughout the range of courses we offer at our center and at off-site projects. Our center offers General English, Business English, IELTS Preparation and ESP courses for adults, as well as secondary and high school aged students. We are looking to recruit teachers to commence between July-September, 2021.

OUR LANGUAGE CENTER RECRUITS TEACHERS WHO ARE CURRENTLY IN VIETNAM ONLY.

Details of Position:

EIU Language Center is situated in the Becamex Tower in a prime location of Thu Dau Mot City, Binh Duong Province (approximately 50 minutes from Ho Chi Minh City) in the south of Vietnam. The center was established in July 2012 for the local community. Our language center provides courses for members of the general public as well as corporate and government projects in the surrounding towns/cities/provinces. We teach all levels from beginner to advanced and have a wide range of excellent resources to aid teaching. We also offer in-house continued professional development. Come teach in a professional, positive and supportive environment with colleagues from around the world.

Qualifications:

Applicants must have a minimum of three years teaching experience post-CELTA.

Essential:

• Native level competence in English
• A willingness to teach both teenagers (11-14 year olds) and adults
• Undergraduate degree
• CELTA or equivalent certification (with minimum 6 hours of observed lessons)
• Clean police check

We would prefer candidates to have:

• Experience teaching General English, Business English, English for Specific Purposes and/or Exam Preparation courses to teens and adults
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, time management, and organisational skills
• Adaptability and cultural awareness
• A willingness to perform duties which support the center's development and ongoing needs

Applicants should:

• Be available to work for at least 12 months
• Be able to meet Vietnamese regulations to obtain a work permit by providing original degree and teaching certificates, as well as a clean police check
• Salary and Benefits
• Salary is between US$1850-$2100 per month (after tax) - depending on qualifications, experience and project location
• Bonus of $1600 is offered upon successful completion of 12 month contract
• Health check, work permit and issuing work visa paid by the company
