Bach Khoa University - Vietnam National University (formerly Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology), established in 1957, is a state-owned and comprehensive university with 11 academic faculties, offering Doctor, Master and Undergraduate programs in various majors such as: Petroleum, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Management, IT, Mechanical and Mechatronics Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Environment Technology and Management.

Bach Khoa University (BKU) has been recognized as the leading center of academy, scientific researching and technology transferring in Vietnam and is the first university in Vietnam to achieve ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology Certification, USA) in two majors: Computer Science and Computer Engineering. We also achieved AUN – QA (Quality Assurance in ASEAN University Network Certification) in 9 majors: Telecommunication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Business Administration, Industrial System Engineering, Automatic Control Engineering and Electrical-Electronic Engineering.

With a professional and creative environment being actively shaped, BKU has been in continuously significant progress of development, asserting its role as a leading university of training and scientific research in Southern Vietnam as well as in the whole country. The University is deserved to be a key member of Vietnam National University – HCMC, contributing to the construction, development and protection of the nation.

BKU is cooperating with many prestigious universities in the world such as The University of Queensland (Australia), The University of Adelaide (Australia), University of Technology Sydney (Australia), Macquarie University (Australia), Griffith University (Australia), University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (USA), University of Illinois at Springfield (USA), Catholic University of America (USA), Rutgers University (USA), Nagaoka University of Technology (Japan), Kanazawa University (Japan), etc. Thus, the students have an opportunity to transfer to our partner universities for the Bachelor degree awarded by those universities.
